Magnesium Dry is a cost efficient way to raise extremely low magnesium level in a reef system. Once magnesium level is at desired level use Magnesium MG liquid magnesium to maintain these levels.
Magnesium serves to prevent the excessive precipitation of calcium carbonate from seawater and aquarium water alike. Since both calcium and alkalinity are very important to Corals, clams, and other organisms that we maintain, making sure that they are not lost to excessive precipitation is an important part of reef husbandry. Magnesium helps maintain brighter coral colors, increase coralline algae growth leaving less room for less desirable algae growth.
To Raise Magnesium levels:
Add tbl spoon (approx 10g) per 20 gallons daily to raise Magnesium levels till 1250ppm -1350ppm is achieved.
To maintain Magnesium levels:
Add one capful of Magnesium MG per 40 gallons weekly.
Note:
test Magnesium Frequently!, More or less Magnesium M.G. may be needed to maintain a level of 1250ppm to 1350ppm depending on bio load.
