Tailored Aquatics Reef Calcium is extremely concentrated. Calcium levels in a reef tank should be between 420ppm – 450ppm. Tailored Aquatics Reef Calcium Plus has the ability to raise calcium levels fast. But use caution not to raise calcium more than 40 ppm per day. All living creatures need nitrates and phosphates to survive. This product, with its multiple carbon sources, is the missing ingredient to grow species of Heterotrophic bacteria and the first step in creating a nutrient poor reef environment. These living organisms assimilate nitrates, phosphates and bio-available organic carbon sources into their biomass, lowering nitrogen and phosphorus levels in the water. Once these organisms have bloomed, corals feed on them and a skimmer takes out the rest. Nitrate Destroyer has the ability to make Reef systems extremely nutrient poor and helps bring out amazing natural colors of SPS corals. In these nutrient poor conditions Iron F.E. should be used as a nutrient to supplement the health of zooxanthellate algae in the tissues corals.
Phosphate Destroyer can be used before or with the use of Nitrate Destroyer when extreme phosphate levels are detected. This exporting of nutrients via protein skimming is essential to the success of this product.

*Helps Reduce Nitrates It is the creators of Tailored Aquatic opinion that small amount of an organic carbon source added daily to a reef tank along with a well maintained protein skimmer will reduce Nitrates over long term.
Nitrate Destroyer should Be used in combination with Calcium Plus and dKH plus for fullest nurtrient reduction.
Directions:
- Shake well before using. Dosage increases until full strength is reached. Day 1-7: 1/4 capful per 25 gallons, Day 8-14 ½ capful per 25 gallons, Day 15- 21 3/4 capful per 25 gallons, Day 22-plus 1 capful per 25 gallons.
As Nitrates drop tank must be weaned off this product until minimal amount are needed to maintain zero nitrates. Often 1/4 capful or less per day is needed over long term use. Do NOT dose if Nitrate reading are undetectable. At the point of Zero nitrates in the reef system use Tailored Aquatics Calcium Plus and dKH Plus to maintain Calcium and Alkalinity which has Nitrate Destroyer as an ingredient to continue maintaining a low nutrient environment. Results will very depending on bio-load and nitrates being created.
Contains NO SUGERS, For best results this product must be used every day while reducing nitrates.
Nitrate Destroyer may take 3-4 weeks of use before full nitrate reducing abilities of this product begin.
